Please take advantage of tax credits! The amount for married couples has increased from $300 to $400
for the 2006-2007 school year!
TAX CREDIT DONATIONS!
If you are wondering, hmm..how can I help MHS Model UN without a lot of financial obligation? Then
Tax Credits are for you! A tax credit is a non-refundable donation to a public school organization, which is refunded
then on your Arizona STATE income taxes in April.
How it Works: As an individual, filing alone, you can donate up to $200, but as
a married couple, filing jointly, you can donate up to $400! Once you make this donation to the
school, you get a receipt to use on your taxes. When tax time comes around in the spring, you credit yourself for this
donation on your STATE taxes. If you owe $400 in taxes and donated $400, you now owe ZERO! If you owe nothing,
you get a check back from the state for $400!!! Yeah! These donations are the easiest and most efficient way to
help out our students here at MHS.

or do the whole thing online. Please make sure you specifiy Mesquite High and Model United Nations as the club for your
donation.
