HOW TO WRITE A POLICY STATEMENT FOR MCC:
A Policy Statement is: a country's understanding of, and position regarding, one topic;
written from the viewpoint of a specific nation.

Paragraph One:  What action the UN has taken (or perhaps not taken) regarding this issue.  The entire policy statement is biased, so only UN actions that are significant to your country should be included.  Your country’s name; however, should NOT appear in this paragraph.

Paragraph Two: The history of this issue in your country.  You may have to really put some spin on the facts here because you always want to be the guy wearing white.  You always want to cast your country as a wise, compassionate, crusader.  If your country’s skeletons insist upon dancing out of the closet, at least implicitly blame someone else for their existence.  NEVER SAY "WE SUCK!"

Paragraph Three: Where do we go from here?  What actions your country believes are necessary for further progress.  Feel free to use any recent statements from your country’s delegates to the UN or legit, important officials (such as a president/prime minister) to extrapolate your country’s position.  The ideas of this paragraph, coupled with your own logical and creative genius (you smarty-pants, you!), will allow your resolutions to essentially write themselves.
